My First Open House

I’ll be honest—I was nervous for this one. Hosting an open house has been on my heart for a while, and this month, I finally took the leap and opened the doors to share what JS Events is all about. This wasn’t just a chance to browse décor. It was an immersive experience designed to show how thoughtful styling transforms gatherings into unforgettable memories.
Since it was my very first, I intentionally kept it small and intimate. I wanted the day to feel thoughtful, welcoming, and true to the way I design events.
Walking into the studio that morning, I took a deep breath and reminded myself: this is what I love to do. The space itself was perfect—big, bright, and full of light, setting just the right tone for the open house.
We welcomed guests with light refreshments and styled snacks that reflected the same attention to detail I bring to every event. It was wonderful to see people gather around, ask questions, and take in the tablescapes I had designed just for the occasion.
Here’s a closer look at the three styled tables that anchored the open house:
Black & White with Gold – Silk Florals
A classic and timeless look where black and white set the stage, and gold accents brought in warmth. The silk florals gave a lush, polished touch without losing elegance.

Summer with Fresh Fruit – Fresh Flowers
This table felt light, airy, and organic, with white and sage green tones. Fresh fruit was tucked into the floral arrangements, creating a fresh, playful detail that tied everything together.

Burgundy Autumn-Inspired with Gold – Fresh Flowers
Rich, warm, and perfect for fall. Burgundy florals and gold accents made this table feel inviting and sophisticated—like the start of an elegant autumn evening.

What made the day even more special was seeing two of my already-booked clients come out to support me. That meant the world. I also had the chance to meet many potential clients, share ideas, and connect over how design and styling can truly transform a celebration.
Before guests left, they each received a bud vase with a fresh floral stem, a little keepsake to remember the day. We also had raffles for some of my newest rental offerings—the audio guest book and the Fuji Polaroid camera guest book packages—which added a fun, interactive touch.
Looking back, I’m so grateful I pushed past my nerves and hosted this first open house. It was everything I hoped it would be: warm, intentional, and filled with the kind of people who make this work so rewarding.
The JS Events Open House was more than a showcase—it was a milestone for our team and a celebration of community. We’re so grateful to everyone who came to support, connect, and experience the magic of styled events with us.
If you couldn’t make it, we invite you to our rental catalog or reach out to schedule a consultation.
Whether you’re planning a wedding, milestone birthday, or an intimate dinner, we’d love to bring your vision to life.
This was just the beginning, and I can’t wait to dream even bigger for the next one.
